The Patriots announced on Monday night that they've released practice-squad fullback Glenn Gronkowski in order to make room on the 10-man unit for linebacker Trevor Bates.Gronkowski's release ends his second stint on the Patriots practice squad.He initially signed to the practice squad on Oct. 1 and was released on Oct. 12 before signing again on Oct. 17.
