BOSTON (CBS) — The Patriots swung a deal ahead of the Nov. 1 trade deadline, acquiring linebacker Kyle Van Noy and a 2017 seventh-round pick from the Detroit Lions for a 2017 sixth-round pick, according to ESPN's Field Yates and James Walker.Van Noy was a 2014 second-round draft pick for the Lions out of Brigham Young University.The Lions selected Van Noy 40th overall, 22 picks before the Patriots drafted quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
